Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog!
I’m Aparna. I’ve been a marketer for more than 7 years now. I’ve explored nearly all areas of marketing. This includes paid, organic, and retention strategies. I’ve also experienced lifecycle management. I’ve worked in consumer SaaS mostly, with a brief stint at a B2B SaaS.
I didn’t start my career in marketing. I began as an engineer, working on electrical systems for commercial vehicles at Ashok Leyland. I had an urge to coach and guide young professionals. This led me to begin a business. That’s when I got exposed to marketing for the first time. I became a self-taught marketer. I built the entire funnel from scratch. The business generated INR 69L in revenue lifetime. I faced many external factors. I also made some really grave marketing mistakes. As a result, I had to move on from my business.
I started my second innings in the workforce with Simplilearn. There, I worked on webinar-led acquisition. I observed how carefully structured sessions could move hundreds of people through a funnel. That was the first time I really began thinking about marketing as a system rather than just campaigns.
And this blog is really just a place for curiosity about how big businesses run their marketing systems.
FunnelStories is not meant to be a marketing playbook. It is more like a notebook. It is a place where I try to understand how real funnels operate. I explore why certain growth engines work. I also investigate what marketing teams are actually doing behind the scenes.
In many ways, it’s just me thinking out loud.
